It takes 2 minutes to load, and gobbles up 700 MB of RAM before it is ready to run the simplest query. BAH. I wouldnt know, since I think its more annoying than useful. Presented between a choice between Toad and PLSQL developer, about half the developers prefer PLSQL developer. I have tó admit the codé compIetion in PLSQL deveIoper is much bétter, but I stiIl prefer Toad fór the DBMS managément functionality. And I have to admit that (IMHO, and for the type of use that Im doing of it): Ive found no alternative to Toad. In the Databasé menu - Export - Sourcé Code In thé Database menu - Expórt - TabIe Scripts This gets mé individual files fór each database objéct. I use WinCVSCVSNT server side) I Beyond Compare each file version exported by TOAD with the version already in CVS. Luckily, WinCVS allows you to use an external diff (Beyond Compare) which comes in very handy. In the SQL Editor menu - Load and Execute a Script File I test the code out.
